Mikeisha Anderson Jones, Esq.

VP, Global Diverse Exec Engagement
American Express

Mikeisha Anderson Jones, Esq. is the Vice President of Global Diverse Executive Engagement at American Express.

Mikeisha develops and implements American Express’ strategy in very distinct, yet equally important areas. First, she is building a pipeline of prospective candidates focusing on underrepresented executives in the US. Second, she focuses on this pipeline, but for women, on a global basis. Third, she progresses existing talent at the executive level, again with a focus on underrepresented colleagues. She does this in partnership with American Express’ Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer, Executive Recruitment team, Senior Human Resources Business Partners, and Senior Leadership across the globe.

Mikeisha pivoted into Human Resources after a career in law and business. Most recently, Mikeisha was Vice President of Global Contracts, Legal, and Proposal Strategy in the Global Commercial Services (GCS) business. In that role, she led a number of transformational initiatives that positively impacted the business along with co-leading the Talent pillar for GCS diversity initiatives, co-creating the Black Engagement Network’s first leadership development forum for mid-level leaders, and leading colleague engagement efforts virtually and for NYC. Mikeisha is a 2016 President’s Club Award Winner recognizing her exceptional leadership, commitment to accelerating growth, and passion for American Express’ customers.

Prior to joining American Express, Mikeisha practiced law in the pharmaceutical/life sciences sector as Senior Counsel, Assistant General Counsel, and Associate General Counsel at Catalent Pharma Solutions (formerly part of Cardinal Health). She was selected as a President’s Club winner during her time with Catalent Pharma Solutions, and was the first attorney to ever receive the award. Mikeisha earlier practiced law with Reed Smith, LLP and Lowenstein Sandler, PC.

She is on the Board of Trustees for the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, and is a volunteer for her beloved Smith College, Jobs for America’s Graduates, and a number of other organizations. Mikeisha lives in New Jersey with her family and is a proud “Yardie” who loves to travel.
